I have set up my system with win xp pro.
I have a total of 5 accounts set up, 2 are admin 3 are limited.
I have loaded all the programs under my account, should all the other accounts be able to use the programs as well?
It seems that some are available and run ok. Some are available but do not run and some are not even listed under the program list. Is there something that I am missing when setting up programs?
thanks

When installing any program..under Administrator in XP (Not sure about 2000) some rights to the program can be blocked to another user. Open my computer..right click..HD..properties..shareing tab..make sure Share this folder is selected. Then click security tab..look for your users in the list...highlight the user.. and click 'full Access'. This will enable everything..for the user to have full access...or you can deny certain programs..or HD's for the user to use. FYI..You MUST be logged on as "Administrator" to make these changes

If you want all users to access the same programs, you don't need to necessarily log in to each account and create the shortcuts. Depending on where you want them to show up, simply add them to either:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
