I have a:

Wireless - G Notebook Adapter W/ SpeedBooster (WPC54GS)

Obviously it's for my laptop. I was wondering if it would work if I was using Linux? I currently have Windows XP on there, but want to switch to Linux. On the "Minimum Requirements" side of the box, it says I need Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP. But it doesn't say Linux on there. Will it work with Linux or not? Thanks.

You'll have to do you own research! Speaking from presonal experience it's a bit of a struggle; wifi is still sparsely covered in Linux. After considerable effort I finally got a Wifi USB dongle working with RH/FC4 (finding and installing the drivers, building from source, etc). Take a look through http://www.linuxquestions.org/: you'll find an excellent hardware compatibilty list (HCL menu item on the main page) - hopefully you'll find your device has already got some entries listed.
