Take a look here: Press Windows Logo key + Pause Break key together then in the new screen click the Advanced tab
under Performance click Settings
With Visual Effects selected make sure that All the boxes are ticked then click OK

Can you do a Screen shot of your desktop and post it in your next post...using Manage Attachments lower left hand in your reply post.

With you Desktop showing press the PrtSc key...then go Start then All Programs then Accessories then Paint....with Paint open press Ctrl + V keys......then save as .jpg

Post it in your next post.

got the picture of the desktop but it will not link to the tsg message page using the attachments icon or on the manage atch its saying that internet explorer cannot display the web page

When you click on Manage attachments you will see Upload File from your Computer

Click on the Browse button and find the file on your PC and double click it then click Upload button on the right...wait for it to upload then close that window and then click on Summit Reply.

If you're using desktop wallpaper, you'll still see a border around your icon captions the same color as your solid background. Here's how to remove that border so that the text looks like it's written right on your wallpaper:
Open System Properties in Control Panel, choose the Advanced tab, and click Settings in the Performance section. Turn on the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop option, and click Ok.
