Whats happening is if you don't have a valid partition windows cannot recognise the drive.
You need a floppy boot disk, from a: prompt type fdisk and enter fdisk program will run.From here choose large disk support, switch fixed drives, should be drive 2 (option 4 or 5).
Then you create a partition on the drive, reboot and windows will recognise the drive, remember to format drive before storing information on it.
