Self taught for me, there is lots of information available online, even some free training courses and also YouTube videos. Give it a go you will be surprised how much you can learn in a short period of time.

Currently searching for some sources to learn web development. What would you recommend?

What free training courses did you take? Are those online ones?
Yes the courses were online, bearing in mind that I have been doing this for years I have no specific current recommendations. Just do a web search and run through some of those. IIRC some of the 'Dummies' books are available online for study too.
I learned from Khan Academy
I mainly learned it from Codecademy and W3Schools
w3schools.com is a great resource, Self Taught.
I started initially with good old FrontPage, I could never get my head around dreamweaver. I was unemployed for a couple of years quite awhile ago now, so used the internet and trial and error to teach myself PHP. Oddly enough, I now spend a vast amount of time in Dreamweaver as part of my job.
I've also just noticed I've been a member of these forums for nearly 20 years.. I suddenly feel really old.
