on the task bar suddenly my quicklaunch icons on the bottom disappeared. First I don't know where or how they went but also how do I get them back? There was Outlook Express and IE and WMP and when I try to drag the shortcut nothing happens. I thought somehow there is a slider but the little handle down there doesn't seem to want to move to the right and none of the property settings give me any clues.

Right click the task bar and select Properties. Make sure Lock Task Bar is disabled and check the other setting.

couldn't find the lock bar option but I did notice that I didn't have quicklaunch checked under view. When I did it created a spot in which to move the icons. Odd thing is I can't drag them all the way over to the left right next to the start button but I think this is good enough.

I have not run 98 in a while so I am not sure what else to do.
