I've never found one store that always has the lowest price on everything. What I usually do is start my search at Price Watch: www.pricewatch.com/
However, it is still "buyer beware". Make sure you check out the site well before you lay down your hard earned cash. At a minimum check to see if they have a "restocking" fee which can be very hefty (and a rip-off as far as I'm concerned). On most high ticket items I lean towards the more established sites even though I may pay a little more.
But like gbrumb, I also check out Price Watch! When using Price Watch, also get in the habit of using Reseller Ratings ! It's a site were online buyers can rate their experiences with the online stores! It's easy to use and will help keep you from making a mistake (hopefully). And of course asking in the forums is also an excellent choice!
Moxy1----Both Randy48 & Rikku are giving you great advice. NewEgg does have good prices and MySimon etc etc can list prices lower than PriceWatch on some occasions. Really what you need to do is use several shopping bots (no one bot covers the Internet) to get an acceptable number of quotes. However, make sure you check out the retailer at places like Eopinions and BizRate before you buy.
Thanks for the Avtor help, it'll be a loooon while for me!!! I tried to put my avator where The Picture Icon is but I didn't know that was a No No!!! I got in trouble eek!!!! "runs and hides in a corner"
Here's a site that monitors promotions and deals. Sometimes they'll have stuff with two or three rebates on one item. It changes daily, so you need to check often, but I've see some awesome deals here:
