Hi!
On my new antec power supply, theres a blue/black wire coming out with a 3 pin header on it. (see attached) Nowhere in the docs for the power supply or MB does it give a hint what this is for. the only 3 pin fan header on the MB is for a northbridge chipset fan, which this particular megabyte board does not have.
Any ideas?

thanks!

Yes, the image you are showing is your 3-pin FAN SENSOR connector.

Link to your power supply, click on the 3-pin fan sensor link.

Also, what motherboard make and model do you have in your system?

Hi and thanks for the additional information!

Your board actually has (5) five 3-pin connectors on it for fans.

One is located by the keyboard & mouse connector labeled SYS_FAN1
One is located just above, the MEMORY slots, labeled PWR_FAN
* One is located bottom left of the CPU socket labeled CPU_FAN
One is located just above the 1st PCIE _16_1 slot labeled NB_FAN
* One is located just to the right of the FIREWIRE connectors, labeled SYS_FAN2

* = Could actually be a 4-pin connector, but was hard to tell in the layout of the manual without further reading more detail.

Here is a link to your motherboard manual in PDF format:

Thanks and have fun!
