i currently have a Geforce 4 Ti 4600 and want to get a new card for around 250-300 bucks, any suggestions on good ones?

Unless your games are feeling SLOW already - hold off about 2-3 months, Nvidia & ATI are coming out with something new for the holidays...

Otherwise, for $300 or so, get a ATI9700 or 9800.

Indeed, ATI's current cards, 9700, 9800 are great. Some cheaper versions, like the 9500, will also do..... Best thing to do is wait for CompilerXP's suggestion.....
