I just found a sub-woofer and I want to install it in my car, What do I need to do this? It's a 125W 8 ohms (or so the internet says) (model 10w08 JL Audio) any help would be appreciated. I know I need an Amplifier, thats about as far as my knowledge goes.

Hello there! Welcome to the forum.

Question... do you have the physical space? That would be my first suggestion; figuring out where this thing is going to go.

Secondly, are you going to build a box/ container for this subwoofer? I would recommend a passive radiator for it:

Next, I would research if your car receiver has a subwoofer output on it. That will make things nice. If it does, you will want to see if it.. "filters" out the highs and mids; or if you have to purchase a cross-over to only allow the low frequencies to reach the speaker.

Here is a write-up from Crutchfield that will explain:

Not sure if any of that has helped or not. :)
