What laptop should i buy?

I have a very slow and heavy laptop with no battery life and a failing power cord, so i decided to buy a new one for myself. Question is: which one would attend to my needs? I am a graphic design student, so i use all the photoshops and illustrators and sony vegas of the world, as well as i carry it with me everywhere. I also like to spend my free time watching tv shows and movie online. Any suggestions on brands or even specific models i should look into? Oh and preferably windows. Thanks.

If you're doing cad and Adobe type work, I would probably recommend a gaming laptop. Asus makes some good ones. Also look for an i5 or even an i7 processor, if it's in the budget, as the i7 will provide plenty of "horsepower."
