I'm not sure if this is the right place to start this thread, but I've got a problem that seems simple enough, but can't figure it out.

I'm running Windows XP 2002 with service pack 2.

I can't get the Adobe website to open! www.adobe.com

I can't link to it through a search engine.... in either case, it appears to be opening, but stalls out, & freezes the current page. Hitting the "stop" button brings up a blank page, but then I can navigate from there. If I try to open in a new window, only the message, "Waiting for http://www.adobe.com/...", with the progress bar going about halfway.

I've gone to the internet options, checked "restricted sites" - nothing there. Trusted sites, I added the website. I believe I'm at the default settings for most of the "internet options" tabs.

Anyone have any clues why I can't get to this website??

hi,
I'm in the UK using IE and got to the website just now with no problem, though this is some hours after your posting.
Have you looked at this alternative? I've used it for 18months now and it works for me!
Foxit Reader. It's small, loads in flash, supports bookmarks, has search capability, offers many views and runs on any version of Windows. On top of that it can print PDFs as well. It runs without installation too, so it's ideal for your toolkit CD or USB flash drive. Freeware, all Windows versions, 915KB.

Hope this helps?
