i would like to know how i would set up a system that would allow dorm rooms to have web cams that could take images that would then be sent to a dedicated computer's hard drive. it would act as a security system ( either real-time or stills ) . i would need to know software(s) that could do this. would it involve tcp / ip configurations? please help........THANKS

This would involve software... semi-expensive software and quite a good webcam. Don't get any American Pie ideas now
