My friend on his HP running Windows XP home has been having some problems lately.
1.) When he open AIM it immediatly says it has encountered an error and has to close. Reinstalling did not help.
2.) Internet Explorer has the about:blank homepage hijack. Cant go to other webpages.
He has ran Spybot, Adaware, CoolWWWsmartfix, about:blank fixer, and i have told him to remove things on HJT. Some stuff re-appears such as apirv.exe and the IE entries at top under processes. And stuff that was removed succesfully, and didnt show in a previous log, is now showing in a new log.
I've tried all i can and leave it up to you guys
