Washington Politicians Are Gutting America Like A Fish

George W. Bush has created the path for American fascism, he’s all but made the American Presidency and our Democratic system of governance a sham. He’s not alone, however. In addition to the neo-conservative movement, we’ve seen the rise of cowardice in Congress. Democrats and moderate Conservatives have failed to stand up for justice and the Constitution. In the view of Americans who actually give a damn, the two-party system has failed and Democrats and Republicans may as well be working together as they’ve allowed Bush to get away with murder, so-to-speak.

Well said. The only thing I would add is that the American people have also failed. We want fast solutions that do not cost any money and cause no pain.

A, "Get me to the mall attitude", and, "I can't think beyond reality TV" is destroying us.

Politics and TV- the opiates of the masses?
I'd just say the following

TV- the opiate of the masses

Uhhhh--he's talking about you--your the "American Idol" show worshipper--can't get any more "reality" TV than that!
BTW---I'll take the reality TV folks over moore-ons that post articles from web sites that are nothing more than "appeal to the idiots" sites with no credibility whatsoever. Anyone that would actually beleive this stuff needs to be medicated (heavily).
Mulder, I've never really understood what you mean by "Moore-on." Is it a reference to Michael Moore?

No, the other Chris; it is an underhanded, demeaning and crude insult to anybody that thinks politically any other way than the way he does. He believes that calling somebody a name discredits the person's argument. Let's face it, name calling is much easier than logical refutation; just ask any 10 year-old.
Well, I get that part. I'm just wondering where the "Moore" comes from. I'm assuming by "Moore-on" he means someone blinded by liberal sensationalism.

Yeah, as in anybody that believes anything Michael Moore has every said is a Moore-on.

Mulder's truths:

1) Anything Moore ever said is stupid liberal garbage.

2) Any person that argues a liberal POV is just as stupid.

3) Any such person gets labeled a Moore-on, ie. just as stupid as Micheal Moore.

I know you are intelligent enough to understand this; I just like to illustrate it for all to see, and that as soon as I see "Moore-on" in a post I automatically ignore it.

Mr. Hyprocite coming out again. Get off your friggin high horse of morality--you insulted Guyzer in that "Yay Liberals" thread just as bad or worse than I ever do to any Moore-On on this site. Seems when its you doing it, its just find and dandy--anyone else its underhanded, demeaning, and crude! I already told you unless your squeeky clean (and you are far from it) don't throw stones in glass houses, my frozen friend.

You are just now seeing this? It is all he has and all he is mentally capable of doing. Any valid contrary point others make instantly draws an insult. His postings are a waste of time and as worthless as he is.

Actually--I use it as an underhanded, demeaning and crude insult to all those that follow with blind ignorance the same thought process (term used loosely) that I Michael Moore uses. Hence the term "Moore-On" ;)

Why should I respond to you? You don't respond with anything even relating to any sort intellectual adult standard so why should I bother with you?

Feel free to pop over anytime. SXSW is now and is a great film and music festival. Oh, wait, that requires freedom of thought and perception as well as imagination, things you don't have and couldn't understand. It's cool.

Got it, thanks  Did you coin that or see it used somewhere? It's very clever.
