Inadvertently pressed a combination of keys that deactivated the Ctrl-Alt-Del function so no dialog box appears. How to reactivate?

Have you tried shutting down (not restart), leaving it off for about ten seconds and turning it back on?

Have you tried shutting down (not restart), leaving it off for about ten seconds and turning it back on?

Yes, many times. The problem occurred after inadvertently pressing some combination of keys and I do not know how to reactivate the function. At the same time this happened it also deactivated the standard keyboard shortcuts function. Since then I have not been able to use keyboard shortcuts unless I press F10 every time I enter a program.
