hi, the past few days i began experiencing fatal errors which brought me to a blue screen reading something alone the lines of

"winlogon.exe has terminated process unexpectedly, the computer will now shutdown"

this was followed by a short string of error numbers

after researching on the net and expecting to find that something was wrong with my computer, i actually found that it was most likely the work of something called a vundo virus,

i have doubts though, the blue screen winlogon errors fits, but i have not experienced any popups ect

i downloaded zone alarm security suit and performed scans, it detected quite a few infetions and dealt with them

this put an end to the errors but now something has disabled my zone alarm security and is prompting me (in a funny style box) to download something to reactivate it

its all very fishy and i still think it is this particular virus giving me trouble, i really need help here

(also i trust zone alarm, it is a service i had used before and i was not prompted to download it, i looked for it myself)

i tried to run hijackthis but every time i do i get an error saying i need a "MSVBVM60.dll" file

i know im hopeless :)

surprise surprise, a member of a forum i frequent (a gaming site) has posted a thread in which she says the site has attempted to upload vundo to her, i guess i know where i got it now
