is there a program that can do volume leveling for WAV files ?

WMP does volume leveling when you burn a cd, but the cds seem to give the cd players a hard time if you use volume leveling this way,

Take a look at Audacity, it has normalization functions for WAV files.

yes but isn't normalization a bad word ?

i just want to volume level all tracks to play at the same volume, not normalize,

right ?
