I have OfficeXP and a headset and installed Microsoft's speech recognition software for use in Word and a few games. I think it may be the source of some sluggishness I've been having, but that isn't the issue, I want to know if there is a way to permenantly turn off the software or uninstal it completely. I'm not sure what it's called, sorry.

Click Start | (settings) | Control Panel
Double-click Regional and Language Options.
Click the Languages tab, and then click Details.
Under Installed services, click Speech Recognition,
click Remove, and then click OK.
Click OK to apply all the changes.
