I was thinking about putting vmserver on one of my computers. I never used this SW before and I was wondering if anyone here has? If so, how do you like it? Is it hard to use? How much HDD space I need and does it make a difference how much RAM is in the computer? If so, how much do I need, please?

You'll need at least a gig of memory for any sense of performance from any virtualization software. Also, it'll require a virtual disk space of 8-16 gigs minimum, depending on what you actually plan on doing with it.

Virtual machines are very memory intensive. I have two gigs on the machines I run VM's on, and after I get a couple of sessions going, I start to need more memory.

Yep, same issue with any virtual environment.
