I'm developing an application that displays a floating customized toolbar and I want to dynamically change the toolbar's title text to include some extra information according to certain user selections after the toolbar has initially been loaded/displayed. I tried using SetWindowText to change the toolbar title, and internally it seems to have modified the title because a subsequent call to GetWindowText indicates the toolbar's title was in fact changed, but the toolbar's title that is displayed doesn't seem to get refreshed. I've tried calling various routines to refresh the entire toolbar (Invalidate, InvalidateRect, InvalidateRgn, etc.) and then refresh the toolbar (UpdateWindow, RedrawWindow, etc.) but nothing seems to refresh the toolbar's title text. I've done this with other types of windows, but toolbars seem to be a different kind of duck.

Anyone ever run across something like this?

I'm programming in Visual Studio C++ 6.0 on a Windows 2000 SP4 platform.
