Hello there...I currently have no anti-virus software installed on my system "windows ME", and did a free virus scan today, found hundreds of infected files in both titles "Trojan Horse" and "Netsky.Q" and have no idea how to remove these from my system.

I have gone to several sites where they say you can remove them for free and have tried, but it always comes back saying.."found no virus on your computer." I am very confused...can someone please help direct me to how to fix this?

Download HijackThis from http://209.133.47.200/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe & unzip it into it's own, permanent folder, not a temporary one. Start HJT & press the scan button. When the scan is finished the scan button will change to save. Save the log to a text file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET.

Someone will be happy to take a look for you.

Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites

http://www.anti-trojan.net/en/onlinecheck.aspx
make sure autoclean is enabled on the scans

After this download AVG from http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php

a free virus checker and does a very good job.

Thank you so much, I went ahead and scanned with hijack, created a new folder and saved it to that (made no changes or fixed nothing)....now, how do I send this over to have someone look at it that knows what they are looking at please?
