I am using Win 2000 and I have been trying to get internet access through my university's internet server by using the VPN. However, after the first connection is made to the university's server it is disconnected before I can make the connection to its VPN. Any suggestions? I have made a successful connection though windows 98 from the same location on another computer.

We need more details. What VPN client are you using and how is it configurated?
