I'm running a self made AthlonXP 2600+ system, 1GB RAM, with a GeForce FX 5600 256 MB Video Card.

I have WinXP Pro SP2, with Media Player 11, QT 7, the latest Nvidia drivers, all MS updates, and a newly installed Divx codec.

I've been having this problem for a while, and can't figure out a solution, thought I'd run it by the experts here:

Whenever I run any kind of video file, after several minutes, the video becomes a solid green(but sound runs fine), and my system runs very slow until I close the video. Then, all video I try to watch is solid green until I restart the computer. The issue happens with WMP and QT, and seems to happen with all video file types. This leads me to think it could be a hardware or settings issue. Like I said, I've fully updated everything, and have tried playing with the Hardware Accelleration setting in the Advanced Display Properties, no avail.

Any ideas or suggestions? I'd be grateful for any help.
