vb3 Upgrade Completed

KNOWN ISSUES/CHANGES:

- Post counts now show the actual number posts for each person (some people lost some from way back, or that had been deleted.)

- We lost 7,000 members! Well, not really. When cleaning out the databases, I found 7,000 members with invalid email addresses who never posted. I just deleted them... which means we get to celebrate 100,000 again!

- Who's Online doesn't always show proper location of users. I'll fix this one.

Well they had their hands full this weekend upgrading to 3.0, so most likely they simply didn't turn it off in their Admin Control Panel

Random needs email notifications off. I have good old hotmail, and they only give you 2MB of space. I'm on 15% before tonight, and as I'm about 6 hours infornt of the majority here, I have a feeling Monday morning will be fun

Email notifications are back on for Random -- see http://forums.techguy.org/t145870.html for the announcement. You can turn them off in your User CP, though, by changing your subscription.

Looking into the PM reply button thing now.

Looks like vBulletin decided to have the Quote button rather than reply -- pretty stupid if you ask me. I'm going to try to at least change what the button says.

You can choose to enable or disable Post Icons for at the forum level and can also choose which Post Icons can be used by which usergroups if Post Icons are enabled. Check in vBulletin Options > Private Messaging Options > Allow Message Icons for Private Messages. If this is set to No then it might not show up.

VB3 bug to be looked int:

No way to clear "New Posts" list. :down:

Vb2 used to auto quote when you hit 'reply', 'forward' or 'forward to buddies' on a PM. Nothing has changed but for the name on the button.

You would need to have a new button called reply_pm.gif in the buttons folder. However it would STILL quote (like Vb2 did).

Also check to see if there are any updates at Vb. The dev team was supposed to make one for this, but that was last August so they might have something by now

Yea I like the big black dot also as it was easy to find but I see the new icon so will get used to what to for. So many new things to get used too.

FYI, post icons have nothing to do with the reply icon... but, yeah, the reply_pm.gif and code described in that vbulletin thread is exactly what I used to get the reply button to appear the way it is now, even though it says "Post" in it.

Click on the user's name, then a drop down box appears
