I have (5) viruses on my desktop...

1) Netsky.P
2) Netsky.D
3) Netsky.B
4) Nachi.B
5) Downloader.L

two questions:

A) What is the best way to get rid of them?

B) What software do you recommend installing to prevent this from happenning in the future?

For a start go and do an on-line virus scan:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

Then look at getting yourself a resident anti virus program and a couple of ad-ware removal programs. You will find urls for these in the sticky posts of this forum

Do I need specific software to rid myself of each one?

Will Micro Trend Sysclean work on both?

I think you will find that Panda or Housecall will fix all the issues you have listed
