Can you recommend a Windows based program for using an Android or I-Phone phone device as a webcam for video chat, etc? Are there apps specific to integrating with Windows 10 to use with Facebook or Skype?
I didnt explain myself very well... What I was wondering is there a way to use my camera on my android phone as a webcam plugged into my desktop Windows 10 computer?
It sounds like a strange request. Skype and Facebook apps allow you to use your phone's camera. Almost all modern laptops include cameras. If your computer doesn't have a camera, you can add one very inexpensively.
There may be an app. Search the Google Play Store. But there might be a lag as the signal is transferred back and forth. Not really what a smart phone was designed to do.
I just simply wanted to go cheap and not buy a separate webcam to use with my desktop. No problem using my camera on my phone to use skype/facebook on my phone... I do spend plenty of time on my desktop, and wanted to use the camera on my phone to connect with my desktop. I have tried a couple apps, IPwebcam, and Droidcam, but there is a bit of a lag whether connected by wifi or USB. I'm playing to see if I can correct that lag. My old phone has a good camera so I may dedicate it to this purpose if I can figure out how to get past the lag! thanks
