I recently decided to buy Panda pro, just to see if it would supplement my current suite of security measures. I bought it, and tried to set it up, but nothing seems to have happened, despite frequent attempts.

I guess this is a dumb time to ask this, but what exactly is Panda pro? Is it just a chance to have Panda clean problems it finds when I decide to use the Panda website to check my PC? I did that, and it cleaned the 50 malware items it found, but, oddly, it did not clean the five hacker items it found -- it declared them "not disinfected."

Or is it, as I naively assumed it was, a program that proactively protects your PC from security problems?

I wrote Panda (about five days ago) but they have not responded (perhaps due to the holiday).

Any thoughts? Thanks.
