It may be that the driver is at fault. There are amany settings in the Canon BJC-2000 pribneter driver for cartridges and paper type; make sure they are all correct. If defaulting all the settings in the settings doesn't fix it then go to Canon's website and download the latest driver. Uninstall the old driver and install the new one.
I think there is also a setting in the driver to have it NOT check the cartridge or to check if all the settings are correctly matched.
