I'm having connection problems with some software such as iTunes, Adobe Flash updater, and some installation programs. The iTunes can't access the music store or update. It gives me this error "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection timed out."

As for the updaters and some downloaders (normal downloads were fine), a downloader had an error like "Problem encountered with Internet connection (ARM1054, 12029)"

a similar situation happened with Adobe Flash updater.

I was told that a firewall, proxy, or anti-virus could interfere with these connections. I tried to disable them but that didn't solve the problem. What should I do?

never mind... I found out the culprit... it turns out that the Internet Explorer (which I rarely use these days) had proxy server mode on. I turned it off and now everything seems back to normal.
