Windows XP pro, Picasa, Thunderbird - Spybot search and destroy, AVG free antivirus, Lavasoft Ad-ware, Spywareblaster, Windows Firewall

When emailing selected jpeg attachment other (not selected) jpegs being attached too. emailing from Picasa

Scenario - I emailed a single jpeg (or so I thought), when opened by recipient (windows picture and fax viewer) and cl on arrow other pics were included.
.. tried sending from my pictures same thing-
...copies are in attachment before it is sent
...the pictures (jpeg) are not connected except they are all pics that I have viewed recently - (not every viewed pics, only some)

...attached a text doc, it was sent correctly

...attached the text doc and a jpeg - the text was fine but, jpeg had additional pics again.

I am not sure how long this has been happening, at least 3 weeks :0

security issue?
file management issue?
software conflict?

What e-mail service do you use? Can you send them through that?

sorry for my delay in responding - i have been out of touch. Thank you for responding to my question.

I only get the extra jpegs attached when i email a jpeg. i have the same problem regardless of which email account or program i use. i use thunderbird but i have the same problem when i send with earthlink - completely bypassing thunderbird. The extra files are present when I use picasa to email pics and when i send them directly from my pictures.

My os is windows xp pro - do you think this could be some kind of security issue?

I seen a post sometime back where I think it did the same thing using Picasa to email.
Do a search here and see if you can find it and if they found out what was going on.

Try putting the pictures you want to send in a separate folder, and then send the pictures.
