you can use revo uninstaller to uninstall apps that you no longer desire/need. As for causing physical damage, unless it's a system file, it should be safe to unload, but without specific names, we can't be sure.
After using Add\Remove Pro to uninstall, I use Final Uninstaller to make sure all of the program is clean (regestry keys, etc). Other than system files to run PC, no damage is done...as a matter of fact, you have more space to use for programs you like
