I have a tyan trinity s2099 main board with 1024 mb ram. 1.7 p4 processor and xp home installed.I also have an ati all in wonder 9000 pro video card and a zoom v.92 faxmodem. Bios version phoenix.
Lately I am not able to enter the bios setup by pressing the delete key,I am not able to figure this out. Can someone out there help me with this? thanks in advance. Kenpodad.

Yes I have tapped del befor boot, I have also tried f1-f2- ctrl-alt-s ctrl-s But nothing seems to help. I think I may have a processor set in the bios to warn when the temp gets above a certain degrees but I can not boot to the bios setup no matter what I do.the beeps start when the processor is working hard like downloading home movies and playing some games.

What you actually want to do is improve your cooling not disable the warnings. You can monitor temps from within Windows with a program like SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

If the temps are high them you need to corect that. Post your CPU, motherboard temps you get with Speedfan to see where the problem lies.

I downloaded speed fan but I am not sure how to use it. There is a temp of 160f which I think is the processor which has a fan speed of 2766 rpm. If that reading is processor temp than it is way to hot.

with a temp that high no wonder it is shutting down
check the heat sink is seated properley, some of the locking mechanisms have a tendancy to spread when locking down causing the heat sink not to seat squarely,also if you put the paste on to thick it will not pass the heat through it properly

I will get a tube of paste an reseat my processor, Maybe get another heatsink fan. Thanks.
