Unable to access Yahoo or ATT.Net emails

2176 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  lynx1021
I have been unable to access my email via Yahoo or Att.net for the last 2 weeks. I have repeatedly cleared the cache and cookies, closed and reopened the browser. I have tried on Firefox and Google Chrome. I contacted AT&T which ended in them having a specialist call back in 1 to 2 business days, which hasn't happened in a week. I have reset the wi-fi and computers. Oddly, I can access on my laptop Via Edge on both my office and home wi-fi. Has anyone else been having this problem? Any insights or solutions?

What error message did you get ?

Check \Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts. file. By default, it should be empty. The host file allows you to put a site name with a matching ip address so that when you access that site, it uses that ip address.

The connection has timed out

The server at cprodx.att.net is taking too long to respond.
Tell your ISP about this problem. See what they say. I assume, and you didn't say, if everything works OK like google, and general surfing.
Have you tried going to the Yahoo news home page and click on the mail button there?
