When you get a fatal exception that states vxd, could some one tell me what the vxd stands for and how I can find a way to check and see what the rest of exception means. I did find a microsoft page be it does not list the exception I am looking for.

Second question, from time to time I use hotmail for msgs, they have a personal signature line, I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to post a graphic/image in that box and also on the hello page.

Thanks!!

vxd are virtual device drivers

In Windows systems, a special type of device driver that has direct access to the operating system kernel. This allows them to interact with system and hardware resources at a very low level.
In Windows 95, virtual device drivers are often called VxDs because the filenames end with the .vxd extension .

my former post was a cut-n-paste from a site, to give you a description.
I would bet it is the same w/windows 98. Glad you said something, there was more info to be had, but on all types of OS's.
Uninstalled? removed? maybe not. reinstalled? perhaps. but I could not find a specific driver with the info provided.

http://www.driverguide.com/
http://www.driverscollection.com/
http://www.driverzone.com/
http://www.pacosdrivers.com/

might find info, or drivers at any of these. if you have no luck here, some of these sites have forums (like this) to get info specific to drivers.

More info on the exact wording of the error message would be helpful. : )
