Hi everyone -

I have a notebook computer (Win2000) I use at two different locations - home and the office. I have two different networks:

Home - wireless network card (PC Card)
Work - regular old ethernet card in (built in)

Currently I have the computer set up with two different profiles, one for each card with the other card disabled in that profile.

The problem is I don't like having to re-boot each time i switch locations. I know it's a pretty minor problem, but the hibernate feature in Win2000 works well so i might as well take advantage of it.

My question is: What would happen if i left both network cards enabled? Obviously one of them wouldn't work because it wouldn't be hooked up, but would Win2000 figure it out and just use whichever network card is available?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi again -

I did a test run yesterday ... just enabled both cards and pretended nothing was different. No re-boot, just hibernate and let Win2000 sort things out. NO PROBLEM - the computer / Windows found each network. I'll try this for a few more days and see what happens.
