hey all i have a 7300gs grafix card with an svideo cable going to my tv however there is no port on my tv so i use my dvd rw drive which is hooked up to the tv as a converter however no matter how much i play with the nvidia tv settings my dvd rw cant find a signl on my tv what do i do cheers

You can by a converter for S-Video to what you need ...but don't know what country your in...so maybe a scart with S-Video in which I have.

Have you restarted your PC with all the TV and DVD on?

im from the united kingdom and i have tried putting them all on at the same time what do i do.....my graphics card dosnt detect anything

I used a Scart with a S-Video in and put My TV on the channel that that Scart was connected to...IE. AV1 and left the TV on that channel and re started my PC and it recognized it.

Have you checked in the Video Card Controller in Control Panel for any settings,

Does you Vid card have that capability?

yup its a 6 pin s video lead i think do i need a scart converter will that defanetly sort it and why wont my dvd rw drve reconise it

The Scart with the S-Video in sorted mine...the scart also had the Audio RCA jacks in too.

Not sure about your DVD player....are you trying to play a movie from your DVD player on your TV ...or trying to play a movie from your Player to the PC...??

no im just using my dvd as a converter so tht i can see my display from the pc to the tv but the dvd player sez no signal is being recieved

Cut the middle manout the DVD player and get the Scart plug...and it should work
