hi i just finished putting together a new pc. i have a 160gb hard drive that i have used before, 1gb of ddr 333, a pentium 4 ht processor with heatsink and a fan. my floppy disk, and my cd-rw drive all on my mother board. my cd-rw drive does work when i only have the power cord plugged into it, but it doesnt do anything at all when i have it plugged into the IDE cable. the drive is set to slave. its on the same cable as the hard drive, the hard drive is in the IDE 1 slot on the motherboard. by the way i have a ECS L4VXA2 motherboard that supports HT. the cd drive isnt by biggest problem though. i finally put my stick of memory into the slot, and i powered up my computer and..... NOTHING! well my hdd light comes on, but the green power light does not come on, my bias doesnt even start up. my computer monitor stays neutral with an orange light on it. i have a 128 mb video card from ati, a radeon 9200. idk if this has anything to do with plug and play though. i had pci cards installed on it before, but i removed those and rewired my entire motherboard with the tower over again after i removed the pci cards. the only card i have in my pc is the AGP Radeon i mentioned earlier. could someone please help me or lead me in the right direction of what i should do? thanks, tony
