ive recently just re installed windows xp.

im having trouble installing illustrator 10, it starts loading when it gets to about 80% its comes up with message saying: installing svg viewer.
then it freezes, so i have to cancel it and have to restart my computer. i have tried to install illustrator cs but the same thing happens. please could you help me.

Hiya

Have some ideas from Adobe, but you can't give the links, as you need to log in each time, so here they are :)


"if you load the adobe programs in a certain order it helps to avoid some problems. Pagemaker, Indesign, illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat. Of course uninstall and clean all temp files before proceding."


"somehow enabled the "Compress drive to save disk space" feature in Windows. I found a technote that said some Adobe apps will not install completely on compressed drives. So if anyone else still has problems and your C: drives are compressed, simply uncheck the "Compress drive to save disk space", reboot and the installation should work."


If still no joy, I've found a lengthy way :p

thanx for the advice.

ive started to uninstall and clean up the temp folder.

i will re install the order of programs u suggested.

i will let u know how i get on.
