I bought a movie the other day that I am wanting to back up, and I'm having a hell of a time doing it. I have Sonic and using that I tried to do a direct copy, and it creates the image and asks me to insert a blank DVD. So I do that, and it doesn't read the disc for some reason. It's definitely not my DVD burner itself as it works when I am trying to say put pictures on a DVD. I also tried creating an ISO file from the movie, and when I try to burn it do the DVD it it 7.5 GB, which is way too much for a DVD to hold. What can I do?

Thanks!

It's illegal to make copies of commercial DVD's, even for your own backup, so we can't help you with that. They have inbuilt copy protection as you're finding out. We don't make the laws, life's a bum, but merry christmas anyway. :)
