[Enigma v2]

The computer apparently crashed, and now I can't get into Windows (XP) or anything anymore.
One of the messages that comes up when I turn on the computer is this:
Couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
NTLDR: Couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
Any ideas?

Was the second hd set to slave?

Of course.

In that case, it might be a bios problem.
Does the bios see the hd when you boot the system

I don't know, and I don't know how to find out. Any more ideas?

When you start the machine, the bios should list all of the IDE devises attatched.
Or you can go into the bios by pressing the delete key when you turn the machine on.
