I did too, but it still wasn't that much money and I was working one full time job and one 3/4 time job. Rarely got to see my new wife.

I hate seeing those SS summary forms come around every year reminding me of how bad the job market has gotten.
Let see that equates to a <-4%> cost of living adjustment per year!
Before long the Chinese will have a better living wage!

My auto repair business was booming under Carter, Reagan(especially) and GH Bush. But then auto repair usually does flourish during bad economic times.

My best years of total earned income occured during Clinton.
