I'm working on a friend of mine's computer, he had a system that is about 10 years old. I'm trying to transfer his personal files from the old computer that was running windows 95, to the new system that is running vista. My question is, what is the best way to do this, and are the 95 files compadable with vista??

Copy these files to a external device and then copy them to the new machine.
The compatibility issues are NOT with Vista but the programs needed to open, edit and save them with.

You will need to get the programs installed on the Vista machine. You MAY be able to use the same program versions from the old machine, BUT, then you may not.
