Transfer large amount of data via web

I have over 50 GB of data I need to send over the web. What are my options?

After brainstorming a bit, the best two ideas I could come with are a data backup service (like Mozy) where I back the data up to a remote server, and my friend can than access that backup, or SFTP, which I do not know much about.

Any ideas?

have your friend set his computer as a FTP server and send data straight to him
.use WSFTP PRo or ServU FTP Server
