I just can't get enough of this shot. I must've watched it 150 times since I saw it live.

It's a truly amazing shot with all the surrounding circumstances. The ball had to be hit with great accuracy due to the fact it lied flush against the intermediate rough. That made the shot difficult. Then it was hard enough to have it land perfectly to let gravity take over. Of course the lingering on the lip there added considerable amount of drama to the shot. He went on to win that Masters in a playoff against DiMarco.

Thank you--I don't know if my response was "incredible" but I thought I was being very inciteful!

And again--if only I had a nickel for everytime a woman said that to me--hell, even if I only had a nickel from you for everytime you've said it to me!

Seems to me to be a lot of luck involved, like a hole-in-one. Not diminishing the skill it takes, but if he did that shot 50 times, he probably makes it only once.
Luck was definitely involved, and he himself said that; however, when you constantly hit it close, a few are bound to go in with luck. The probability increases. Just like with the 2nd shot off the 14th fairway at Hoylake this past Open Championship....he made it in for an eagle (it was a par 4).
