would any one know how you would go about turning off the message pane in Mozzila thunder Bird email
i dont want my mail open when i click on it once i want to be able to sort it and delete the junk out first

One way you can do what you want is to click on Tools -Account settings-Server Settings - and put a check mark in Fetch Headers only. That way only the headers will be downloaded and you must complete one more step before the body of the email will be downloaded.
