Can anyone pls help?

Running win2000 pro with a motorola surfboard cable modem.
I can't access the internet. opening IE i get page cannot
be displayed. called isp provider(comcast)they couldn't
help.

At command prompt typed ipconfig /all, only info displayed
is node type-broadband, ip routing enabled-no, wins proxy
enabled-no. Then removed and reinstalled nic card and
driver, still same problem. moved the cable from the modem
to a different computer and internet worked fine.

Internet was working fine several months ago. Then caught
spyware and cleaned system with spybot, adaware and hijack
this. After cleaning system ran fine but no internet
access.

Can anyone supply any ideas?

Any chance you had Bonzi Buddy spyware?

Also download LSPFix, transfer it to (it will fit on a floppy) and run it on the affected computer. Some spyware makes changes to winsock which doesn't get repaired when the spyware is removed. LSPFix will do the repair.
