Testing Excel Question, May not be Possible

Ok. Using Excel. What i am looking for is on opening a worksheet and pressing a button to maybe activate a Macro, this sould result in the autonumbering of that worksheet. i.e. On opening a worksheet to input a new clients details, a number will be automatically displayed on that sheet (Next in a string i.e 1,2,3 etc) and that number will be specific to that job.
It's hard to expalian but basically i need an auto numbering of the worksheet when i start a new one.
As clear as mud im sure.

It generates a new number each time you open it. You can steal the VBA out of it.
