TCP/IP Port settings

1026 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  jtsquared
I have been advised that I need to check that the ports 1990 to 2002 are open on my TCP/IP transfer protocol on my Firewall. This is the information given to me by the Tech Support advisors at my favorite game site in order to download the games. The only problem is, I don't know how to do that.
Can anyone help me?

What firewall do you have?

:)
If you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2, you need to go to Control Panel, open Windows Firewall and click the "exceptions" tab. Then click "add port". Give it a name and type your port number. Do one entry for every port that you need to open.

Hope this helps,

jT
