Tabs in Chrome-based Edge

Hi

Is there a way to set up Chromium-based Edge so that when you click a favourite in the favourites bar or in the favourites folder, it opens in a new tab, please?

I can do this with bookmarks in Vivaldi, but can't find a way to do it in Edge.

Thank you.

Typically you can click on your wheel mouse (center click) to open in a new tab.
Thank you, I do use my mouse wheel to open tabs but I often forget and because I'm so used to my favourites/bookmarks opening in new tabs when I click them in Vivaldi, when I'm using Edge (I'm trying to use Edge more as Vivaldi is too slow & keeps slowing my PC down) I forget and end up thinking I've opened 3 tabs or whatever when I've actually got 1!
OK i see what you mean now. I haven't seen an option to allow left click to open in a new tab... having said that, if you were able to switch, you may have an issue with bookmarks within a folder. For example, i have a folder with a lot of bookmarks. I accidentally middle clicked the folder and it opened all of the bookmarks within the folder! lol
What I do, is open a new tab and then go to the Favorites
